Stampin' Up Happy Birthday Thinlit & Springtime Foils
Have you ever had a card that you thought would go together quick and easy then everything that could go wrong did? Well, that was this card for me. Inky fingers and wayward glue caused me quite a few headaches but I was determined to finish it and not scrap it. I persevered and love the final result.
I absolutely adore the Happy Birthday Thinlit! It is so versatile. You can use the entire die cut or trim it into "Happy" or "Birthday" It provides a dramatic layer when cut from foil. For this card I cut it from a Copper Foil Sheet and paired it with the beautiful Springtime Foils. Thrifty tip: I cut the Happy Birthday and stars from the center of the Copper Foil layer since only the edges of the layer would be seen. I colored the Springtime Foils with Bermuda Bay reinker then layered it over the Copper Foil then popped it up on a Whisper White A2 card base. I got the idea for the banners behind the die cut from Jessica Frost- Ballas. I love the banners! They provide the perfect backdrop for the diecut.
